Heading To Peru, Part II
Shit. It sucks to be back in the north. Santiago sucks. The waiter was worried that I wouldn't leave a tip because I was paying with Visa. I like the south so much more -- even if only as far south as the Lakes District.
So, it's 10:30 and Copa Air must be run by vampires. Their check-in counter doesn't even appear until midnight, I assume they share the counter space with a more diurnal airline. At least that's what I understood from asking the folks working around here. My flight finally appeared on the arrival/departure monitors. I guess it continues on to Panama or else I'll be missing my meeting with Joanna in Peru.
Looks like I'm getting kicked out of the bar. I'd better go find a new haunt. Paleo-Rock videos are playing next door. Woo hoo! Yep, it's Credence Clearwater Revival playing that Viña del Mar music festival, which I've heard it quite the show. Enrique Inglasies played there last night. TV news and the papers carried top stories about it. Unbelievable. I thought Seattle news was sensationalist, but this puts the Seattle Times to shame!
Santiago seems to have made me bitter...
